It all started in the guest bedroom of our little cottage with a child’s rabbit lamp, then came the tall antique post bed. As my eyes followed the post, it seemed to be pointing to the ugly ceiling . Oh no!

#8 Creamy White
To the Internet I went, where The American Tin Ceiling Co. was waiting for me. The tin ceiling was so easy to order (snap lock, pattern #8, in creamy white). Over the phone the professional staff assisted me with every detail. They were as enthusiastic as I was.

The tin ceiling came quickly. My husband and I easily installed it, (our first tin ceiling). When all was done we lay on the bed staring at the beautiful ceiling. Childhood memories of napping at grandma’s house came back to me. I remembered the tin ceilings. Do you know what my grandchildren will remember when they’re grown? Falling asleep with their imagination following the pattern of a beautiful tin ceiling. We look forward to installing tin ceilings in other rooms of our cottage.
Thank you for continuing a tradition:

Why are Tin Ceilings so popular today?

Tin Ceilings remind us of a different time in our country's history. Tin Ceilings stir memories of gentler days when elegance and beauty reigned. A slower paced era where style and grace were the watchwords in home decor. Old time victorian homes, formal parlors, farmhouses with wood burning stoves and other historic architecture we've seen in literature and film or remember from our childhood.

It is said that "Everything Old Becomes New Again". It reinvents itself and becomes fashionable again, perhaps because it was so fashionable in the first place. Fashion goes in and out of style as modern ideas are introduced to the market. But the popular styling's of the past always cycle back into modern contemporary culture. The Tin Ceiling exemplifies this concept.
