Announcing our Second Tin Ceilng Powder Coat System
AmericanTin Ceilings announces their second powder coat system. To meet the growing demand for authentic tin ceilings, finished with a high-tech industrial powder coat, AmTin has purchased and implemented a second industrial powder coat system. “This is the most productive tin ceiling powder coat line in the world”, states Gary Shapiro, president of American Tin Ceilings. “It can finish 2400 2’ x 2’ panels per hour. Thats 12,000 panels in a 5 hour shift!”. The powder coat line has 400 feet of converyor and can run 400 2’ x 2’ panels at 10 feet per minute. An 8 bank Parker Ionics automatic powder gun system provides an exceptionally consistant and even flow of powder. The natural gas covection oven has 180 feet of conveyor and runs at a constant 425 degrees to produce a perfectly cured finish. The oven produces 2 million BTUs to maintain a constant 425 degrees.
The addition of this second powder coat line will allow American Tin Ceilings to satisfy the growing demand for authentic finished tin ceilings and reduce their industry leading turnaround time of 10 – 20 days to an amazing 5 – 10 days (producing 1.5 million panels per year). “Our goal is to ship any panel, pattern and color within 3 days of the order submission.” exclaims Mr. Shapiro. “Our new powder coating system will allow us to do just that!”
