Payment

We accept Visa, MasterCard and check or money order. Payment is required before an order enters production. This means that your order will not be processed until full payment has been received. No exceptions!

Returns

Product claims, disputes and/or exchanges must be initiated within 7 days of receipt. Unfortunately we cannot accept returns that are initiated beyond 7 days of receipt of product. Product can only be returned upon authorization from American Tin Ceilings. Call us at 1- 888-231-7500 and request a return authorization. Upon approval, we will provide you with a return authorization number that will need to be posted on every package of returned merchandise in order to receive a refund or exchange.

  • A 25% re-stocking fee will be charged to all returned items.
  • Return shipper must pay for return freight.
  • Freight charges cannot be refunded.
  • Returned packages not displaying a valid RMA number will be refused.
  • RMA numbers are only valid for 14 days from issue date.
       RMA numbers beyond 14 days of issuance will be refused.
  • Items returned via COD freight will be refused.
  • Credits and/or exchanges will be processed within 7-10 days of receipt of returned materials.

This policy also applies to damaged merchandise. Upon inspection of the damaged merchandise, if authorization for credit is approved, return freight will be credited and the 25% re-stocking fee will be waived.

Due to changing supply, we cannot guarantee matching color or impression lot after shipment. We recommend all customers order 1-3 extra panels and pieces of molding (depending on the size of the project and color), to ensure same dye/impression lot in case of needed replacements. American Tin Ceilings will not be liable to any customers who order less than the necessary material quantities. The customer is ultimately responsible for ensuring that adequate material quantities are ordered, regardless of any material estimates that may have been quoted by American Tin Ceilings' staff.

Custom colors are not returnable. All custom color orders are final! No returns - no exceptions! Custom Colors are clearly stated under the color section of this website.


Samples

Orders over $500 can be credited one Sample Pack, otherwise Sample Packs are not returnable. Single panel samples are not returnable, unless a full ceiling order is purchased. These are the only exceptions. You must request a return authorization to return samples.

Custom powder coated finishes may have sublte variations from lot to lot. Samples are for general color and finish sampling only. Due to the nature of our high-end finishing process, hue and/or finish can vary slightly from one lot to the next, therefore we cannot guarantee that color sample swatches will match product orders 100%. A 5% tolerance in finish variance is allowed.


Production

Press timelines: Our die and press facility stamps product as dictated by inventory. Inventory fluctuates on a daily basis.

Delivery

Product delivery policies are as stated: *In stock Items: 5-10 business days. *Out of Stock Items: 10-20 business days.

Orders normally takes 2 business days to process. FedEx Ground shipping is 3-7 business days. Therefore an 'in stock' item has a minimum ground delivery time of 5 -9 business days. Average orders take one to three weeks depending upon specific product availability. Inventory fluctuates daily. Although we make every attempt to expedite each order, we can not guarantee delivery dates estimated at the time of sale. If you are quoted a delivery date at the time of sale, that quote is tenative only and can not be guaranteed. Expedited order processing incures a rush charge of $20. Overnite, second day and 3rd day expedited shipping is available from FedEx, but the rates are extremely expensive. We are the manufacturer and distributor of the product, therefore we offer the lowest prices available. But product often needs to be finished per order and therefore delivery can often be delayed. Regardless, we receive several orders per week from consumers who have been waiting three months or more for product ordered from our competitors. So, even under the most stressed production conditions we still lead the industry in price, service and quality.

We advise against scheduling contractors prior to the receipt of your materials. Do not schedule contractors based on a salesman's delivery estimate! Wait until you receive your materials to schedule contractors.

We maintain a strict policy of quality assurance. Our panels are the original .010 gauge tin plated steel, representative of the high quality authentic tin panels first used 130 years ago, not the inferior anodized aluminum, poly alloy, or plastic that is sold by competitors. When you purchase from American Tin Ceilings, you can rest assured that you are purchasing authentic quality for the lowest price.

American Tin Ceilings provides a variety of superior quality finishes not offered by other manufacturers. Our authentic tin ceiling panels are finished using an industrial powder coating process. We have developed our own custom formulated colors and antiquing methods using high-end powders from industry leaders like Dupont, Tiger DryLac and TCI. This process creates a beautiful, robust finish that is very durable and provides superior quality, hence producing the most attractive tin ceiling panels in the entire tin ceiling industry! To our knowledge, we are the only tin ceiling company in the world to utilize such a high-end finishing process.

Consultation

Consultation is a free service we offer to our customers. Layout and design of your tin ceiling should be planned prior to purchase, that is why we make our designers available to you for consultation Monday through Friday, 8am - 6pm. We reccommend consulting with one of our designers to insure the neccessary materials are ordered. Call us toll free: 888-231-7500.

Consultation is offered as a courtesy to customers. Our design consultants our knowledable about tin ceiling layouts and are happy to assist you in configuring your project. But as the customer, you are responsible for the final determination of your project's material needs. American Tin Ceilings is not liable for inaccurate project estimates received via phone and/or email. All sales consulation and customer service regarding product fullfillment is provided at no charge. 1 hour of product support is provided to customers at no charge. Most product support calls are resolved within 5 minutes. Extended product support is available for an hourly fee.
