Case Study: Adya

June 9, 2014

One of the most hotly anticipated spring restaurant openings in the OC, Adya is the new project from renowned Chef Shachi Mehra, deemed the Queen of Indian by Riviera magazine. The menu combines modern and classic Indian cooking, while balancing a bold Southern California influence. Located in the newly transformed Anaheim Packing House, an open kitchen with a view of the tandoor ovens is a highlight of the space.

Where do you have tin tiles installed?
On the bar. We have an open kitchen with counter seats and the tiles go all the way around the space.

Which patterns and colors do you have?
Pattern #26, 23 & 3 with Girder Nosing, Gold Washed White

Who made the decision to use tin ceiling tiles?
I did (the chef), and convinced the other partners and our architect that it was a good idea :)

How did you find out about our company, American Tin Ceilings?
Initially I did search locally and then found you online with more options and finishes available than anyone here.

Did you consider any other materials?
No just t in. It’s so beautiful and the finishes are so unique.

What, if any, consultation did you receive from our sales representatives regarding design, layout or product selection?
Your sales team was fantastic! They helped us lay out the design and figure out how many of each of the three tile designs we needed and were available to discuss and answer questions as they came up. Service all around was really great.

What was your required turnaround time, and did we meet it?
Yes. We were initially on a tight time line (or so we thought, restaurants always get delayed). Your team did a really amazing job of getting the tiles to us very quickly. I placed a later order for girders that also shipped quickly.

Are you satisfied with the end result? What has the feedback been like?
Definitely. We are located in a building with several other vendors and have gotten many compliments on our finishes; I’ve referred several people to the company already and we’re always answering, “Where did you get those tiles?'” The tin definitely adds to the unique character of the space.

Any future projects in the works with tin?
Nothing yet, but it’s always possible.
