On the Forefront of Hospitality Design

Studio McCormack is a southern California-based design firm that specializes in hospitality design. Their repertoire of project types include restaurants, nightclubs, hotels, and retail. Founded on the guiding principle of bringing imaginative and inspirational design to the world, they have designed for companies such as Darden, BJ’s Restaurants, Ruby Restaurant Group, Yard House, Wood Ranch, MGM Resorts International, Matchbox Food Group and Venetian Resort Hotel Casino.

In 2016, Studio McCormack began work on the TAP Sports Bar at MGM Springfield, in Springfield, Massachusetts. Their team of talented individuals—known for creating concepts, designs, and experiences that keep Studio McCormack at the forefront of hospitality design—created a space that harmoniously merges the unexpected (like the TAP arcade and bowling alley) with functionality. TAP at MGM Springfield opened its doors in August of 2018.

Springfield, Massachusetts is home to the 4th iteration of TAP Sports Bar.

When it comes to product selection, Studio McCormack likes to work with vendors who are supportive, have samples easily available, and provide timely product information. Studio McCormack choose tin tiles from American Tin Ceilings for being a trusted source with commercial projects, and for its range of finish and pattern options. Tin ceiling tiles were used to help evoke the feeling of a vintage Sports Bar that had patina, grit and authenticity.
