Grand River Station
Awarded Project of the Year in 2010, La Crosse’s Grand River Station transit center was one of Wisconsin’s top public works projects. The $30 million transportation center was a joint development project in historic La Crosse. A completely unique space, not only is the building home to a bus and train terminal, but it also boasts an impressive 12,000 square feet commercial space, parking facility and three floors of apartments upstairs. A beautiful barrel vault tin ceiling was incorporated an historic reference point in the passenger waiting area.
TILES INSTALLED: Pattern #2, Brushed Satin Nickel
Why did you choose tin?
"We spent several weeks of studying historic train station design and interior materials. The decision to use a tin ceiling was made at the beginning and no other materials were considered."
Which installation did you purchase?
"We had to use Nail-up for the barrel vault - we love the look of the final product."
