Tin ceiling tiles are available unfinished (commonly referred to as raw), as well as finished. A finished tile is powder coated in a variety of colors. American Tin Ceiling tiles are composed of an embossed steel tile with a bright tin plate. This results in a bright silver tile, and receives clear coating very well. The tin plating keeps the tile from rusting for a given time. Additional finishing must be done to ensure that it will not rust in the long term....
