When it comes to creating inspiring spaces, the team at Alma Homes knows how to strike the perfect balance between function and beauty. In their latest project — a light-filled, multifunctional kids’ workspace — they turned to American Tin Ceilings to bring a bold, elevated detail to the ceiling, using Pattern 33 in Artisan Copper Washed White.

Tucked just off the kitchen in this new build, the room was designed as a kids’ office — a place to manage schoolwork, craft projects, and creative play. "We wanted this space to be calm and functional but still full of character," says the Alma Homes design team. "It’s easily adaptable for different types of work, and we loved that it could evolve with their needs over time." 

Classic Meets Luxe: The Design Vision 

The overall design direction? Think: fresh, clean, and rich in detail. A muted color palette creates a serene foundation, while standout features — like a showstopping chandelier and a beautifully detailed tin ceiling — elevate the room and add depth. 

“We were going for a look that blended classic charm with a touch of modern luxury,” the team explains. “The ceiling felt like the perfect place to make a bold move.” 

Why Tin Tile? Why Pattern 33? 

Choosing tin ceiling tiles wasn't just a style decision — it was a strategic one. In a room filled with clean cabinetry and neutral tones, the ceiling offered a blank canvas to inject texture and visual interest. 

Pattern 33, one of our more intricate designs, was a natural fit. “It brought the dimension we were looking for,” Alma Homes shares. “And the Artisan Copper Washed White finish added just the right amount of patina and warmth to tie everything together.” 

The result? A ceiling that draws the eye upward and gives the room a curated, high-design feel — without overwhelming the space. 

All Eyes on the Ceiling (and That Chandelier) 

Speaking of bold moves, the chandelier in this room deserves a spotlight of its own. With cascading beads and an organic shape, it softens the architectural lines of the cabinetry while echoing the metallic tones above. 

“It’s a total showstopper,” the team notes. “But it still feels approachable. It adds glamour without making the room feel too formal or fussy.”
