Designer-Approved Tin Ceilings: A Closer Look at Aspire’s Show House

American Tin Ceilings was honored to be part of the Art of the Home Show House by Aspire Design & Home magazine, an immersive celebration of innovation, artistry, and enduring design.

This year’s show house in Upper Saddle River, NJ featured some of the most inspiring spaces from top-tier designers, including two standout rooms where our tin ceilings and acoustic tiles elevated both form and function.

Acoustical Advantage in the Home Theater by Anna Maria Mannarino

In a nod to contemporary performance and design, acclaimed designer Anna Maria Mannarino transformed the home theater into a moody, sound-optimized retreat. She chose a mix of American Tin Ceilings' Tara Collection acoustic tiles, Straight, Angled, and Filler, to clad the walls in a bold geometric rhythm.

This design wasn’t just for looks. The acoustic tiles are crafted with perforated tin panels that allow sound to pass through to a high-performance acoustic backing, reducing echo and noise by up to 85%. Ideal for home theaters, studios, or upscale commercial spaces, the tiles offer a rare blend of form and function. Their layered dimensionality creates visual drama, while their acoustic performance ensures a quiet, immersive cinematic experience.

The tiles from our new Tara Collection brought Mannarino's signature blend of glamour and functionality to life in a space that feels both indulgent and intentional.

Whether it's adding character to a utility space or elevating acoustics in a media room, these two designers demonstrate how tin, when thoughtfully applied, becomes a transformative surface. At American Tin Ceilings, we’re proud to support projects that blend creative design and unparalleled craftsmanship.

A Tail-Wagging Laundry Room by Tammy Bolden

Designer Tammy Bolden of Bold Interior Designs created a laundry and dog-washing room that’s as stylish as it is smart. To add texture and character to the ceiling, she chose our Pattern #15 in Silver Brushed Bronze, a rich finish that brings warmth and timeless appeal to the utilitarian space.

In her own words:

“The Artisan Silver Brushed Bronze tin ceiling evokes an old-world charm, perfect for an Italian-inspired space. Pairing the tin ceiling with the brushed bronze finish on the plumbing fixtures and the jewel green-toned cabinetry elevate the look and make it feel special.”

With its dimensional stepped frame and hand-finished look, Pattern #15 delivered a luxurious detail overhead that complements the room’s custom cabinetry, smokey-grey walls, and built-in dog bath. The space strikes a beautiful balance between high design and hard-working functionality, a true example of how craftsmanship can elevate even the most overlooked rooms in the home.
